Our 2016 Blue Ribbon Awards

What a fun year we had reviewing as part of the Homeschool Review Crew! We reviewed so many different products this year, I have to say we had a lot of favorites! For some categories the kids all agreed about the winner, in other categories each child had a different favorite.

Christmas Love Letters From God ~ Review and Giveaway

We have had the opportunity to review Christmas Love Letters From God Bible Stories. This lovely book combines prose and poetry to tell the birth story of Jesus. There are seven stories beginning with Isaiah’s prophecy and ending with the visit from the wise men. With each story there is a letter attached to the page that can be personalized with your child’s name. img_4285

Each personalized message is written as if God is speaking directly to the reader. This is a wonderful way to help your children discover the story of Jesus’ birth. Each story also has a special Bible verse, entitled God’s Perfect Promise.

I have enjoyed reading Christmas Love Letters From God to my children. The book brings the stories from the Bible to life for the kids. I’m sure this one will be enjoyed for many years to come!

On The Lookout

This weekend, while we were working on the new fence we enjoyed watching a bald eagle high upon this tree branch. He never did fly away even when we drove past where he was perched.

The Blessings of Unity ~ Review and Giveaway

I have had the opportunity to review the book, The Blessings of Unity, written by Richard T. Case. The Blessings of Unity was written to offer insight and ideas for creating godly unity in our marriages. The key concepts for creating unity in our marriages are:

1) Abiding in the Vine and walking in the Spirit, and

2) Learning and applying the concept of unity.
