My Thoughts
I am so excited that we’ve gotten the opportunity to enjoy some family movie nights in such a way that they are faith building. The hardest part for us has been carving out the time to have family movie nights. Summer is always such a busy time around here! However, we’ve found it’s important to have some down time and enjoy each other. Pure Flix Family Camp is a great way for us to be able to do that and all the hard work of planning the guide has been done by Pure Flix.
Week One movie for Family Camp is Switched. What a great lesson on having compassion for others and realizing that not everything is as it seems. Cassandra Evans has had enough of being bullied by the beautiful Katie Sharp and recurved the surprise of her life when her prayer was answered. What was her prayer? She prayed that Katie would have to walk a while in her shoes. Both girls gained a new appreciation for not only one another but life as they experienced life in someone else’s shoes.
The devotional and discussion questions were right on track. What a great way to start off our Family Camp! In addition the the family movie, their are recommendations for other movies for adults, teens and kids each week. Summer isn’t the time we watch many movies but when the weather gets cold and the days short we will have a great list of movies to watch.
