When We Last Spoke ~ Movie Review

Recently I had the opportunity to watch, When We Last Spoke the award-winning, heartwarming story of faith, family, and forgiveness, based on a book by Marci Henna. Talk about a wonderful family movie!

Set in small town Fireside, Texas, the young sisters Juliet and Evangeline say good-bye to their father, James as he heads off to the Vietnam War. While their father is still gone to war, their mother decides that she can’t raise the girls and leaves the girls with their paternal grandparents so that she can pursue a career singing.

The two girls and their loveable grandparents, Walt and Ruby, make their way through life’s trials, ups and downs. With plenty of tugs at the heart strings and laughter throughout, the movie follows the Cranbournes’ journey through life.

When We Last Spoke recently won Best Picture, Best Narrative, Best Supporting Actor, and more at the Crown Awards at the National Religious Broadcasters 2021 Christian Media Convention! Melissa Gilbert (Little House on the Prairie), Cloris Leachman, and Corbin Bernsen star in this great family movie.

Our Thoughts

My family really enjoyed watching When We Last Spoke. It was definitely a great family movie focusing on faith, family and forgiveness. It’s always so nice to be able to enjoy a family friendly movie, especially when the movie shows that life isn’t always sunshine and roses and not everything goes the way we hope it will; but even when life is hard, there can still be beauty in it.

I hope you and your family will take the time to enjoy When We Last Spoke on Amazon

Blessings,

Jennifer
