WordsBright ~ S is for Smiling Sunrise Review

I received a hardcover copy of the of the 2015 National Parenting Publications Bronze Award winning S is for Smiling Sunrise published by WordsBright, access to the downloadable teaching guide, and the mp3 song version of the book.  WordsBright is a small, independent publishing company whose focus is on enjoyable, meaningful children’s books.

S is for Smiling Sunrise was written by Vick Wadhwa a Southern California dad who wrote the book initially for his two year old daughter when she was bored with the A-B-C books he was reading to her.  The rhythm of the story can be sung to the tune of the ABC song.  The song version of S is for Smiling Sunrise is even available as a free-mp3 download on WordsBright.  My kids loved listening to the song and would play it over and over again (especially Quinton who would also insist that I show him the book and sing along!)  Not only is the music fun to listen to it also helps the children learn the positive concepts taught in S is for Smiling Sunrise.

Smiling Sunrise ReviewS is for Smiling Sunrise takes learning the letters of the alphabet to a entirely new level. Not only is the alphabet being introduced but important life lessons and virtures are also being taught.  Below are sample pages for the letters V and W from the book as well as an exert from the teaching guide which is available for free from the WordsBright website.

The vocabulary that the kids learn from S is for Smiling Sunrise encourages positive character-development and wholesome values.

Smiling Sunrise Review

S is for Smiling Sunrise would make a great gift for the young people in your life!  It is recommended for children age 3 and older.  I would recommend S is for Smiling Sunrise as a wonderful addition to anyone’s library including those who teach young children whether in preschool, elementary school, Sunday school or at home.
