Schoolhouse Teachers ~ Review

There are so many things that I have really enjoyed using with our Yearly Membership of SchoolhouseTeachers.com this past year. So when given the opportunity to review and enjoy SchoolhouseTeachers.com for another year we were all very, very excited. A new favorite for our family has been the addition of the RightNow Media streaming videos! There are more than 10,000 streaming videos available. The videos available include something for everyone in our family.

One of the favorite for the kids has been the Lighting the Way series. This series includes stories of Augustine, William Tyndale, John Bunyan, Amy Carmichael and many, many others. These animated videos are approximately 30 minutes long and tell the story of various missionaries and other Christians who have made a difference for the Lord.

Other kid favorites include the Adventures in Odyssey, Veggie Tales, and Donkey Ollie. I love that when the kids pick a show to watch on RightNow Media, I can be assured that it is a positive one.

There are also many, many Bible studies, conference sessions and customizable training sessions. There are also real-life stories which help to encourage us in our walk with the Lord.

There are even science videos in which you can explore Rocky Mountain National Park, the John Day Fossil beds, and Yellowstone National Park to name a few. Each of the Explore videos are approximately 30-45 minutes long.
I have been going through the Introduction to Graphic Design which is a new offering on SchoolhouseTeachers.com. I have never had any graphic design classes, so I am finding this one so very helpful!

There are 16 lessons in the Introduction to Graphic Design class. Each lesson consists of the teaching section which walks the student through a different aspect of graphic design each lesson. This is followed by an assignment to complete. The answers to the assignment questions are then found on the next page.

Even if you are like me and have had no graphic design teaching you can easily learn from this course. It is designed primarily for high school age students.
