With the baby due in just a few weeks, I have been looking for ways to streamline our homeschool. One of the resources that we have recently been trying and are liking has been from HelpTeaching.com.
For the past few weeks, I have been utilizing the Pro Plan from HelpTeaching.com with Brock and Adisyn. We received a one-year subscription to in exchange for my review.
The Pro Plan features unlimited access to Test Maker™ to create custom tests and worksheets with up to 100 questions per test. It also offers unlimited online tests and lessons along with other features.
This is a screen shot of the first page of the Test Maker™. There are three options for how to design your test. If you already know the questions you want to have on the test you utilize Option 1. To search through a vast array of pre-made questions or to have the ability to create your own questions you would chose Option 2. To quickly make a test you can chose Option 3 and search for keywords in a particular grade and/or subject.
In addition to Test Maker, HelpTeaching.com offers Tests & Worksheets, interactive Lessons, and Games in the following subjects:
- Arts,
- Early Education,
- English Language Arts,
- Life Skills,
- Math,
- Physical Education,
- Science,
- Seasonal and Holidays,
- Social Studies and
- Study Skills/Strategies.
Below is an example screen shot of part of the tests and worksheets offered in science. I simply chose which discipline of science I wanted to locate a test for. Then by going through the sub-categories I could find ready made printables that were easy to print off and use with the kids.
There are numerous ready made printables which is where I have mostly focused with Brock and Adisyn. We have primarily been utilizing science worksheets such as this one:
We have also been dabbling in some of the other subjects. However, I feel like we have barely scratched the surface of all HelpTeaching.com offers.
We had fun with the Games section of HelpTeaching.com. There are three options for creating games to go along with your lessons; Bingo Card Generator, Word Bingo Card Generator and a Word Search Generator. With each option you have the ability to name the card or word search. With the Word Bingo Card Generator and the Word Search Generator you can use type in a personalized list that is used.
If you are looking for a great resource, that has numerous ready-made printables, on a vast array of subjects, then I would recommend HelpTeaching.com. I found the Pro Plan to be reasonably priced ($24.95/year) considering all that you receive with membership.
It has been nice to have so many worksheets available to supplement the kids’ lessons. I also found HelpTeaching.com very easy to use and navigate. I hope to be able to utilize even more of the resources that HelpTeaching.com offers over the coming months.
