With Lee in Virginia Audio Drama Review

If you’ve been reading my blog for a while, you might remember how much we enjoyed the first audio theater we received from Heirloom Audio Productions, In Freedom’s Cause.  Let me just tell you, this newest audio drama is just as great!  You don’t have to take my word for it though, here’s what the kids have to say:  Eli says, “It’s Awesome.” Brock’s favorite part is the excitement. “I love listening to the adventure and picturing it in my mind,” Adisyn.

With Lee in Virginia follows the exciting adventure of Vincent Wingfield.  Vincent is a fifteen-year-old Virginian who was eager to join the ranks of the Calvary.  After risking his life to help free a slave of a neighbor, he returns home in time to learn that he can  join the Army of Northern Virginia.  Soon he finds himself fighting alongside famous Confederate generals such as Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson and Robert E. Lee.

With Lee In Virginia features a star-studded cast including: Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings, Mom’s Night Out, Rudy), Kirk Cameron (Fireproof, Monumental, Left Behind), Brian Blessed (Star Wars, Tarzan, King Lear), Chris Anthony (Adventures in Odyssey), Kelsey Lansdowne (Curious George, Adventures in Odyssey) and Jim Weiss (Greathall Productions).

As I have come to expect from Heirloom Audio Productions, the sound effects and acting were wonderful!  The adventure and drama kept us on the edge of our seats the entire time.

The Study Guide for With Lee in Virginia is set up with thirty-seven sets of
questions.  Each set has three parts, Listening Well, Thinking Further, and Defining Words.  The disc and track number on listed at the top of each set of questions to make it easier to follow on the audio cd.

There is also a Bible Study included at the end of the Study Guide which focuses on two topics: Duty and Love Your Enemy.

“Duty is obligation. It is our responsibility before God. God establishes all of our obligations in this world and explains them in His Word. Every duty we have is ultimately and foremost a duty toward God Himself. We are to do all things as unto the Lord.” quote from the Study Guide.

I whole-heartily recommend With Lee in Virginia by Heirloom Audio Productions!
