I really cannot believe it is the middle of August, how did this happen?! I have started getting our lesson plans together so that we can start our new school year next week. We are still busy canning and freezing as much as possible.

We have had a crazy busy August, and it will probably stay that way for the rest of the month. Yesterday we butchered 11 chickens, and I finally got my first real harvest of green beans and peas. I have also been working to get the kids’ school work together. I’m enjoying buying new school supplies. We can’t have too many crayons in this house!
