If there is one thing that I really need, it’s a great way to get and stay organized. There’s something to be said about a physical planner with plenty of places to record school, 4-H and other activities. Thankfully I have the Hey Mama! Print Schoolhouse Planner 2016-2017 from The Old Schoolhouse and it is set up just for trying to get people like me organized.
What does the IDEAL Mama look like?
Easy – look in the mirror and smile big. There she is!
Don’t fall into self-Mama-bashing today. It’s a lie from the pit and will only slow you down. Are your kids perfect? No way. Do you want to raise kids who think they are? I hope not.
Raise those kids to be hard workers; kids who will, as adults, go easy on themselves when they drop the ball. Model that, Mama. Model the ideal Mama and not a “perfect” one. No one is perfect but Christ.
And the Lord has called you for such a time as this: raise those babies up to love Him with all their heart, soul, and minds. Keep walking the track He has you on. Don’t try to run up ahead of yourself (and Him).
Look in that mirror, Daughter of the King. There you are.

What is in the Hey Mama! Schoolhouse Planner 2016-2017?
In the front, there are yearly calendars for 2016, 2017 and 2018. Beginning with July 2016 there is a special page for Notes and Hey Mama! Letters. These Hey Mama! Letters are packed with encouragement.
The monthly calendars are a two-page spread with ample space in each day to write important activities, deadlines, and events.
The are 35 weeks of weekly calendars. These weekly calendars have a place to e
nter the date. If you need additional weeks of the weekly planners you can copy additional pages and attach them in your planner. Throughout the weekly calendars there are more Hey Mama! Letters and special pages such as those pictured below.
There are pages for Monthly Goals, Semester Goals, and Yearly Goals. These pages have prompts for Educational, Spiritual, Physical, Personal Talents, Life Skills, Financial, and Relational goals.
There are five Attendance Charts, four Books Read This Year pages, and Curriculum planning pages for five students. There are also numerous resources such as Writing Prompts, The Thirteen Colonies by Date, US Presidents and Their Wives, and United States and Capitals.
