CashCrunch Careers ~ Review

Brock, Adisyn and Eli have been learning a little more about themselves and the type of jobs that might suit them well thanks to CashCrunch Careers from the makers of  CashCrunch Games.Screenshot 2018-10-10 at 1.02.08 PM

CashCrunch Games and CashCrunch Careers are both created by Paul Vasey. Mr Vasey holds a Business Education Degree from Nottingham Trent University and is a former teacher of Business Studies who left the UK and is now living in California. He says that many students go about picking a career backwards, rather than deciding what career would be fit them, many students decide on a college, then on a major and lastly a career. The goal of CashCrunch Careers is to turn this process around and help students start on the right path toward a career that best suites them.

“CashCrunch Careers uses research from the US Department of Labor and recruitment tools from the corporate world and combines them into a platform that will provide answers to the most loaded and commonly asked question by a parent to a child.”

The goal of CashCrunch Careers is to determine:

  • What careers and possibilities would best suit.
  • What careers they would most likely enjoy.
  • What careers they would most likely excel in.
  • What path needs to be taken to be ready for their dream career.

CashCrunch Careers {CashCrunch Games Reviews}
There are aspects of CashCrunch careers that I really, really like but there are also some areas I would love to see as more user friendly. The results for the three kids were very reflective of each of their personalities.

Here are the results from their Career Attributes:

I’m not sure if it’s possible to further sort the career options based on each individual’s strengths. While the kids had very different character results, their job lists were identical. When clicking on the broader categories there were some differences in available jobs but it seemed like a lot to wade through and explore. Below is a screenshot of the Top 20 Catergories for each of them.

The career that holds the most appeal for Brock for a few years now, actually looks like it might be a good match for him. Here is the Character Attributes for that job:

Adisyn and Eli are still very undecided about their future careers; however, they’ve been able to do some exploring and looking at different options that might suit them well. I think they’ll be referring back to CashCrunch Careers over the next few years as they get closer to high school graduation.

I love the concept of CashCrunch Careers and hope that they can continue to make a few changes to make it a little more user friendly.

There is also the opportunity to learn about personal finance in a fun, online environment with CashCrunch Games. There are two online versions: CashCrunch 101 and CashCrunch Junior.

Blessings,

Jennifer
