Each week has four days is broken down into four daily lessons.  Throughout the Study Guide there are symbols which break the lessons into bite sizes pieces.  These symbols each represent the type of learning that is taking place. For example, The Seed is the main idea for that particular week.  Planting the Seed is the Bible memorization that is recommended for those students age 4-11.  Additional Planting the Seed is a more challenging Scripture memorization for those age 12 and up.  Watering the Seeding is used to identify the section that helps the main idea begin to grow for the students.  Daily Study is the daily, family devotional which encourages the student to explore in more detail God’s word and teachings.  Digging Deeper is written for older children or adults to go into more detail and “dig-in” deeper. Taste the Fruit focuses on illustrating ways that we can apply what we are learning to our lives in a practical way.

The Workbook is 232 pages long, corresponds with the Study Guide and has several types of hands-on activities such as:

  • Puzzles and Mazes
  • Copy Work, Write About It and Prayer Journal
  • Write About It:  Fruits of the Spirit
  • Map It
  • Coloring Pages
  • Word Searches
  • Upper Class
  • Nature Studies
  • Engage the Culture

The additional icons for the Student Workbook include, Nurturing the Sapling and Bearing Fruit.  Nurturing the Sapling indicating the start of a new lesson.  Bearing Fruit encourages the student to apply the main idea from the lesson into their life.

We have been using The Book of Moses Part 2 as a family Bible study.  We have all enjoyed it thus far.  I like that it is written so that even young children can learn important life lessons while encouraging older children and adults to really dig into the Scriptures.  I also appreciate that these lessons encourage us to apply what we are learning to our lives.  The wide variety of activities are also a fun way for the kids to cement the lessons in their heart and mind.
