Recently, I had the opportunity to review, TAKE BACK YOUR LIFE – A 40 DAY DEVOTIONAL JOURNEY by Levi Lusko. Let me just tell you that the timing for this review was perfect! I have truly been enjoying this devotional and needed to hear the God’s promises throughout it.
Levi Lusko is the founder and lead pastor of Fresh Life Church, located in Montana, Wyoming, Oregon, and Utah. He is the bestselling author of Through the Eyes of a Lion, Swipe Right, and I Declare War. Levi also travels the world speaking about Jesus. He and his wife, Jennie, have one son, Lennox, and four daughters: Alivia, Daisy, Clover, and Lenya, who is in heaven.
Each daily lesson is filled with real life applications with truth from the Bible woven throughout. The lessons end with a prayer and the Breath, Think, and Live portion. It is this Breathe, Think and Live portion that helps cement the lesson being taught. Break our your journal and answer the thought provoking and sometimes hard to answer questions. It is this portion of the daily devotional that really brings it home for me with the poigant questions that help me see how to apply each day’s lesson to my life.
I absolutely love the way this devotional is structured. For me, it has been just the encouragement that I have needed, when I needed it. Life around here has been so crazy and often times off kilter with all the work and busyness around here. Working through the devotional has forced me to take the quiet time i need to think more intentionally about the priorities in my life. Slowly but surely I am trying to take back my life.
